Young's Philosophy of Wellness
Have you ever met someone that always seems to feel good,
look good, have lots of energy and never ill. They are for
the most part up beat, happy and full of life. Ever find
that you ask yourself, “Why,” Why is it that this
person is experiencing good health on, what seems to be,
an all time basis and you are not?
There are
several reasons for this, genetics, diet, exercise, etc.
However there is one thing that all people I know who are
like the person we described have in common. They believe
in and apply certain principles to their daily lives. Its
called “Wellness Philosophy” and it has a major impact
on how we feel and how well we avoid illness. |
We
have all heard for decades the importance of cleansing the
body, transporting the waste products and giving the body
the proper nutrition and certainly under each of these areas
we could list dozens and dozens of procedures to achieve
good health. So, if we know all this, why are we not
achieving and maintaining good health? I feel the answer
lies in the following explanation.
|

Jim Rohn |
One
of my earliest mentors in business and a super
successful individual by the name of Jim Rohn
gave me this simple formula years ago which shed
light on the difference between success and failure
and I wish to pass it on to you.
Success
is “a few simple disciplines practiced every day.”
Failure
is “a few errors in judgment repeated every day.” |
May sound
simple, even treatsie, but take a close look at how knowing
this can help you amend your philosophy on wellness. We don’t
experience poor health overnight. It takes decades of doing
the wrong things day in and day out to place us at ailments
door. Because there is no catastrophe at the end of the
first day, we unfortunately think that it doesn’t matter
which is why we continue to make the same errors over and
over.
| Lets
put it another way. We have all heard the old
saying, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.”
If that is true you might say, “Wow, that sounds
like it would be easy to do, an apple a day to keep
the doctor away, sure I could do that because it
would be easy.
Now
here is were we get tripped up. Not only is an apple
a day easy to do, it is easy not to
do, and because there were no major problems over
the short term when I didn’t eat the apple, why
should I amend my philosophy on wellness? |

|
Mr. Rohn
also told me to look for the half dozen things that make the
majority of the difference in my life. Usually just a half
dozen, simple disciplines practiced everyday make 80% or
more of the difference in our good health.
Ask
yourself these 3 simple questions:
|
 |
What
do I do on a daily basis that helps my body cleanse
itself,
i.e. diet, exercise, supplementation, rest, etc.? |
 |
What
do I do on a daily basis that will assist my body to
get
rid of toxins and waste products? |
 |
What
do I do on a daily basis that nourishes
and helps the body rebuild itself? |
By
answering these simple questions honestly and using the
experience of others as a guide, you can determine what
disciplines you need to amend for your good health. Remember
that it is not difficult to achieve good health, however, it
does take daily disciplines.
The
following closing remark was taken from the Royal Rife
Society:

“This is a universal law of nature:
Any kind of weakness or disability is an invisible
signal to every predator, from wolves to parasites,
to move in and take advantage of the prey.”

Dr.
Samuel Young, M.H., N. M. D.
Dr.
Samuel Young became an advocate of natural health and
wellness in 1983. During the winter of 1979 while living in
Montana he was exposed to severe negative temperatures and
as a result both of his ears were frozen. The damage to the
ears prompted skin cancer. His local doctor recommended
surgery.
Long story
short he allowed them to perform surgery on one ear. After
that mangling procedure he decided there had to be a better
way to heal cancer.
Prior to
this he watched as his father-in-law who had Parkinson
disease submit to surgery to stop the shaking in his right
hand. After they cut the nerves to his hand, the shaking
stopped, but then he no longer had the use of his hand. He
also watched his wife’s mother who fell and broke her
knee, die from gangrene while in the hospital.
A result of
all these health related occurrences in his life and the
loved ones close to him he decided there had to be a better
way for us to take care of our health. So back to school he
went at age forty-one. He secured his doctorates in
Naturopathic Medicine and Herbal Medicine.
Dr. Young is a licensed, board certified Naturopathic
Medical Doctor and Medical Herbalist actively involved in
the COUNTRY DOCTOR Wellness Center located in Cheyenne,
Wyoming. He has taught and lectured at numerous collages
across the country. He is currently an active member in good
standing with the American Naturopathic Medical Association,
American Herbalist Guild, Colorado Naturopathic Medical
Association, American Alternative Medical Association,
Federal Intermediary Council of Alternative Medicine and
board certified in several other natural healing modalities.
Dr. Young was taught and believes that with natural herbal
medicines there are no incurable diseases. Currently Dr.
Young and his wife Joy are traveling the country on a
mission to educate people and make his clinically proven
formulas much more available through a local health food
store near you. |
